Temporary Closure & Multi-Phase Renovation Announcement

As part of an ongoing commitment to elevating the guest experience, Hakuba Hospitality Group (HHG) has announced the next stage in the evolution of Hotel La Neige. To facilitate focused works across its first-floor public spaces, the property will temporarily close from June 15 to August 1, 2026. The targeted multi-phase renovation will focus entirely on transforming the hotel's lobby, restaurant, and bar areas.

The initiative, which originally commenced in 2025, reflects Hakuba Hospitality Group’s broader strategic vision to integrate contemporary design with the property’s established architectural legacy. To execute this vision, HHG has partnered with the acclaimed Design Studio Crow. Together, they aim to deepen the relationship between the hotel's architecture, its interior atmosphere, and the surrounding majestic alpine landscape.

Upon its reopening in August, the redesigned spaces will showcase updated furnishings and interiors that reflect a more contemporary expression of alpine luxury. Crucially, these updates will preserve the tranquil atmosphere and unique forest setting that have long defined Hotel La Neige as a premier destination.
“Hotel La Neige has always held a unique place within Hakuba,” said Marcus Bauder, CEO of Hakuba Hospitality Group. “This renovation is about refining and elevating what has always made it special: its architecture, atmosphere, sense of tranquility, and connection to the surrounding forest. We want to create a more immersive and contemporary expression of alpine hospitality while remaining deeply respectful of the property’s legacy.”
